Be a positive thinker

Have you noticed how some people are really positive and some people are really negative?

As a law of attraction coach, I teach people how the law of attraction works in their life and one of the key factors is that we draw into our life that which we focus on the most Wanted or NOT.

One of the ways we can be more positive is to work on being a positive thinker.

I want to share two ways today to help keep your thoughts positive.

Use positive affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements that we can say to ourselves.

Here are a few examples:

All is well in my world
I'm always in the right place at the right time
I'm so lucky
I always arrive at the perfect time
I am enough
I am loved
I am a quick learner

Write your own affirmations down, repeats them often throughout the day.  Fill your thoughts with them.

Spot it and swap it

Any time you catch yourself thinking in a negative way, spot it and swap it for a better feeling thought.  You can use the affirmations and you can simply shift your thoughts to what you want.

NO Snooze - Get up and go

Hitting that snooze button is not helpful to you.  So my quick tip for today is NO SNOOZE.  I'm sure you've heard the saying.  You snooze, you lose.

Here's a tip that helped me when I stopped hitting the snooze button.

I set my alarm for the time I wanted to get up and then I put my phone the other side of the room so that I had to actually get out of bed to switch it off.

I'm going to be completely honest. I still hate the alarm going off some mornings, but I really quickly get over that feeling as I know that when I have a certain amount of things to do by a certain time, just getting up and getting going makes the world of difference.

No phone meal times

Today my quick tip is to encourage NO PHONE MEAL TIMES.  In a world where our phones are becoming an everyday essential and more of us spend more time on them in some way, whether it's speaking, texting, using one of the many apps...

Meal times though are an important time to connect with your family/partner/friends.

As a mum to a teen, I absolutely get that this generation has grown up with smart phones and it's the norm to be on them pretty much every waking hour.

As I've said before on this blog, I feel strongly that we teach our kids that there are more important things in life than always having to immediately respond to anything happening on your phone.

NO PHONE MEAL TIMES are a good start.

Acknowledge people

Let's face it, we all want to be acknowledged rather than feeling invisible. So my top tip for you today is to acknowledge people.

Whether you're in a supermarket at the cashout.  Look up and say "Hello, thank you..." to them.
Thank people who open a door for you or are courteous when you're driving.

Just think of all the people you come into contact with during the course of a week and try to ensure that you're acknowledging people more.

Even when you're walking from one place to another and pass someone, just say "Hello/good morning..."

As a coach, so many people tell me that they feel invisible.  They tell me that nobody notices them. Imagine how this feels.  Maybe you already feel like that. The starting point, either way, is for you to start being the kind of person who acknowledges other people.

Quick Tips for life blog review and changes

Hi Everyone,

I feel it's time for a review.

As you know I set up this blog as an experiment to see if it was possible to make money from a free blog and not following the standard blogging rules.

The blogs been fairly consistent but doesn't particularly seem to be growing that much. Although we are still only in the early stages.

Up to this point, I've been blogging every day.  I've enjoyed this process so far but with a busy workload in over the coming months, I feel that I need to rethink my posting schedule.

Shifting to weekly posts.

What I'm going to do for the time being is to shift to posting every Monday.

I like the blog and want to keep it going but for now, I need to put my focus onto my other 2 blogs

Morning Business Chat Business and life advice and support.

Ideal Weight Challenge Positive tips for weight loss, healthy living and following my own weight loss journey.

I also have a busy workload with coaching clients over the coming months and feel that although the quick tips posts are short, they are still very time-consuming with a daily schedule.

So that's my plan going forward.

Please do share your thoughts.

SAY "NO" more often

As someone who is a huge promoter of positive thinking and positive living,  But here's the thing.  I see so many people saying YES to everything.  YES to the things they don't want but other people do want, YES to more pressure, YES to more commitment....

And NO to the things that they feel are really important.

So I want you to really think about areas in your life where you need to start saying NO so that you can start saying YES more to the things you really want to do.

ALWAYS reward yourself for your Achievements

I think today's tips is essential if you want to be successful in any area of life.  Always reward your achievements.

It can be as simple as congratulating yourself.

It can be a non-monetary treat for yourself.

Or it can be something you buy to celebrate.

When we subconsciously know we will be rewarded for our achievements, that actually motivates us to keep going to achieve more and more things.

Set up direct debits and use cash for everything else

Today my tips is a money management tip.  This is one of the very best things I've ever done with regards to managing my money.

Set up a direct debit for anything you need to pay monthly and then use cash for everything else.

I've found that most people think twice before spending actual cash much more than if they can just pop it on a credit card or debit card.

Once the money has gone, it's gone.  You can't buy anything else.

Anything I have left over at the end of the week goes into a treat envelope or into a specific saving envelope.

NOTE: I encourage you to set up an automatic transfer to pay off debt if you have it, pay into an emergency fund and into a savings fund before you give yourself your weekly cash.
